Thermal Management Technologies (TMT) is a strategic partner of Utah State University's Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL). TMT is built on SDL's 50 year legacy of successfully designing, building, and deploying leading edge satellite infrared instruments. SDL has developed a wealth of thermal technologies that were originally designed to maintain optical components on infrared instruments at cryogenic temperatures. Extensive thermal management research carried out by faculty and students in the USU's Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, in cooperation with SDL engineers, has lead to ever more sophisticated and longer SDL program missions.

TMT was formed to develop technologies emerging from SDL for widespread commercial use. TMT is currently developing elegant thermal management solutions for microelectronics in computers and datacenters, Li-Ion battery packs in hybrid automobiles, and modular satellite panels. TMT has emerged from SDL with innovative technologies and a strong technical team and, it is seeking to expand its reputation as a leading developer of elegant thermal management solutions.
