Thermal Management Technologies

Center of Excellence

Is this really relevant anymore?

Each year the State of Utah invites its research universities to submit proposals to develop new technologies that could become the basis for a "Center of Excellence." A proposal submitted through the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering resulted in Thermal Management Technologies (TMT) at Utah State University being designated as a State of Utah Center of Excellence (COE) with first year funding beginning in July of 2006. After receiving favorable reviews of first year activities, which focused on expanding manufacturing capability for Flexible Thermal Links, the TMT COE received second year support beginning in July of 2007. The focus of the second year TMT COE activities is on expanding markets for Flexible Thermal Links and Channel Panel product development.
